NDABA GUEST LODGE
ladysmith
Ndaba Guest Lodge opened for business offering four rooms in November 2010.
The original house was operated as an estate agent’s offices.
The hosts, Mbali Sibiya and Sydney Langelihle Sibiya bought and renovated the old house and added new buldings to it.
The guest house has 15 operational rooms and a conference centre at an advanced stage of completion.
There is a 14 channel satellite TV. Cut out the sentence, “The outstanding component of the renovation……. servants’ quarters”.
Ndaba is the Zulu clan name for the surname Sibiya.
The bed and breakfast establishment is situated at number 11 and 13 Harrismith Road in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands town of Ladysmith. All rooms have a flat screen TV, aircon, bar fridge, electric blanket, and a ten-channel satellite DSTV. The establishment has wireless connection for the convenience of customers at no extra cost. Two of the operational rooms have twin beds which can be converted to king beds, and also have larger 40 inch flat tv screens instead of the standard 32 inch. The outstanding component of the renovation and extension project is the building of a guard house, paving and marking for parking bays, and renovation of the servants’ quarters. They serve English and Continental breakfast and offer a two course dinner on request.
